About Dave Pierce (aka "Mr. Dave")
Hi there! Looking for a musician for hire?
I am a Writer/Vocalist/Guitarist. I write and perform in a variety of styles – Light Jazz, Americana, 60’s & 70’s Pop-Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Blues, and Folk. When performing solo I will typically accompany myself on guitar, often with backing tracks and vocal effects to create harmonies. I also frequently appear as part of a duo or combo, and do Voiceover, and Voice Acting.
Music matters. Music is a relationship with something that lives and breathes. It is not something I can quantify, but nonetheless, it has presence, energy, and a spirit. When I am in harmony with Music I, and usually the listeners too, feel very good. I think it was getting to sing in the vocal ensembles, every day, that kept me showing up for classes in my school days.
The bulk of my recorded work is produced in my project studio, in my home in Willits, California. There are a number of tall Redwoods and Cedar trees around my house. Beautiful Ravens live in them. Hence the name of my Recording Label – Raven House Records.

I’ve been very fortunate to be making music with these guys for over half a century. You could say that this has been my most enduring “project”.
Nowadays, we get get together a couple of times a year to put on a show at The Hollenbeck Palms – the residential facility in Los Angeles where my parents now reside.
During the COVID-19 pandemic we were limited to collaborating at a distance.
Voiceover Services
An English voice-over project that I’ve been working on this past year has finally wrapped up and is now available on YouTube. Originally in German, “Animal Souls – Messages from the Beyond” is a 46 minute film by Dr. Gerhard W. Hacker, and Ursula Demarmels of Rückführungs-TV. This film addresses the topic of animal souls from spiritual, scientific-medical, and general ethical perspectives.
It includes interview excerpts and statements from Pamela Anderson, Geraldine Chaplin, Tony Christie, Jane Goodall, Paul McCartney, and Doro Pesch. One of my songs, Breath of Life, is also featured. This is an educational, Non-commercial charity film, without any commercial interest. Please share.
